It was May 2, 1995, when amid a mixture of feelings ranging from pain and confusion, the face of a beautiful child with Down Syndrome just peeked at the gates of the existence, became inexplicably a source of hope and peace. Here was his life, providing love and strength needed to tackle what seemed insurmountable until then, assume a life of "being special."


Luisa Fernanda left early, just seven months of care required and revealing enough time to accomplish its mission, transforming them with his presence.

And it was there, where the experience of death is life, when this work was born of love, in honor of Luisa Fernanda, was founded on December 11, 1998. Since then, constituted as a private, nonprofit, recognized by the Health Section of Antioquia Special Register 05 001 0796 5 01 Legal personality and 26,454 of December 7, 2006 has been conducting meaningful and based on human values respect and love their work to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities.

Thus a gradual Foundation made a valuable contribution to social development in Medellín and the Metropolitan Area, creating genuine social inclusion and measures commonly adopted in the various government programs and development plans, becoming a research area , education, counseling and treatment, targeting Down and other functional and cognitive disabilities that can integrate personal, family and society.
